September 10, 2020LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Vertex Foundation, a nonprofit charitable foundation, today announced a €1 million donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to support the construction of a Ronald McDonald House at the new children’s hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
The donation will support the building of a 53-bedroom Ronald McDonald House at the new children’s hospital, which will provide a home for families with seriously ill children.
“We are delighted to support Ronald McDonald House Charities as they create this amazing new facility that will provide the highest level of support to families from across Ireland,” said Michael Parini, Chairman of the Vertex Foundation and Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative, Legal and Business Development Officer at Vertex. “It’s so important for a child’s family to be close by when they are in the hospital, and this House will provide that opportunity to parents and families when they need it most.”
“This extraordinary gift from the Vertex Foundation will help us provide family-centered care and spaces for families so they can be together during a critical time in their lives,” said Marian Carroll, CEO (Volunteer), RMHC Ireland. “We are grateful for their recognition and support of our mission.”
