McKINNEY, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#soleohealthandhighmark—Soleo Health, an innovative national provider of complex specialty pharmacy and infusion services, announced today it was selected as one of three exclusive providers by Highmark Inc. for the care of its hemophilia members, effective January 1, 2020. Highmark, a leading national health insurance organization and an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, has approximately 190 hemophilia patients under its plans. SoleMetrics collects and delivers valuable data over time by gathering intelligent outcomes of patients under its clinical care. SoleMetrics has the distinct ability to collect hemophilia-specific data to demonstrate clinical and economic value to Highmark, its providers and its members.
“Our priority lies in taking a highly personalized and therapeutic focused approach to providing superior patient management and clinical care. We continue to garner preferred relationships with payors and health systems as well as pharmaceutical manufacturers based on our clinical expertise and distinctive, real-world evidence data reporting. We are positively affecting the quality of care we bring the patients, payors, and providers with whom we care for and work. We look forward to administering our higher levels of care and cost savings for Highmark and its members and showcasing our capabilities,” commented Drew Walk, Soleo Health’s chief executive officer.
“Soleo Health was selected as a preferred provider partner to manage our hemophilia patients, based on the exemplary care it delivers as well as its extraordinary outcomes and data capabilities. Highmark wanted to develop a program that delivered exceptional value-based care to our patients and recognized the best way to do this was to partner with physician specialists and infusion providers. Our responsibility is to connect our members to providers who have a proven record in managing hemophilia, and we believe that Soleo has established a true center of excellence as it relates to appropriately caring for these patients,” said Sean Burke, manager, Specialty Pharmacy Services at Highmark.
