CRANBURY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–lt;a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/DIP2019?src=hash" target="_blank"gt;#DIP2019lt;/agt;–Pharmacy Times Continuing Education™ (PTCE), a leader in
continuing education for retail, health-system, managed care and
specialty pharmacists, has experienced record growth for the first two
2019 Directions in Pharmacy® (DIP) conferences compared with
2018.

“We are really proud of the continuous growth and excitement that our
DIP conferences have generated,” said Jim Palatine, RPh, MBA,
president of PTCE. “The conferences offer pharmacists an
opportunity to gain insights from expert faculty and be exposed to
education that is extremely relevant to their practices.”

The 2019 DIP Spring Conference Series will be held in four total
locations. This year’s attendance for the Chicago conference increased
97% over 2018, while in Anaheim, California, attendance increased by
74%. So far, the conferences have educated a combined 288 pharmacists
and health care providers. The next DIP conference will take place on
Saturday, May 18, at the Nashville Airport Marriott, in Nashville,
Tennessee, and feature Lee Holland-Skipper, Pharm.D., MPH, research
fellow of the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) providing the keynote
address. The final conference in the series will take place on Saturday,
June 22, at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, New Jersey, with guest
keynote speaker Laura Cranston, RPh, chief executive officer of the PQA.
Both speakers will provide accredited education on the opioid epidemic
and steps that pharmacists can take to improve patient care, as well as
examine the clinical and economic impact to patients and the health care
system.

The DIP Spring Conference Series is held in major cities across the
