Indian IOLCP boosts Ibuprofen plant capacity

IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited (IOLCP) producers of APIs, has completed its De-bottlenecking/ Re-engineering project for its Ibuprofen Manufacturing facilities at Barnala with project cost of Rs 24 Crores, and has started the enhanced production from Thursday. pill iocpl.jpg

The company says that post this completion, the capacity of Ibuprofen plant increased to 62 TPA.

The Ibuprofen manufacturing facilities have been approved by US Food and Drug Administration, ANVISA, EDQM, WHO & MOH Japan. The company is already exporting its Ibuprofen in regulated & Emerging markets, such are Europe, Latin America, Middle East and with the recent approval from USFDA, the company says it is now expanding its business of Ibuprofen in USA.

“These approvals will facilitate the company to build and sustaining the growth by its API business in coming years, being the only integrated Ibuprofen player globally, by exploring the higher value regulated markets,” the company said in its press release on Thursday.
