FDA advices not to use XForMan Plus
November 20, 2015The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a notice in which it advises consumers not to purchase or use XForMan Plus, a product promoted for sexual enhancement.
As the FDA says, it had identified the product during an examination of international mail shipments.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that XForMan Plus contains sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA approved prescription drug Viagra, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).
This undeclared ingredient may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates.
