Life Sciences Industry Leader Andrew Setikas to Take the Helm of
CLSA’s Business Development, Membership and Strategic Alliance Activities

Life Sciences Association (CLSA), the trade association representing
California’s life sciences industry, today announced the appointment of
Andrew Setikas as Senior Vice President of Business Development and
Strategy starting March 25, 2019. The addition of Setikas to CLSA’s
senior leadership team marks the continued expansion and rapid growth of
CLSA, which advances California’s world-leading life sciences sector by
advocating for effective national, state and local public policies and
supporting entrepreneurs and life sciences businesses.
As SVP of Business Development and Strategy, Andrew Setikas will be
responsible for the recruitment and retention of CLSA membership,
including active involvement with prospects and members and leadership
of CLSA’s business development team. Reporting to CLSA’s newly
appointed President & CEO Mike Guerra, Setikas will create and
implement programs that enhance CLSA membership engagement and value,
and establish and manage partnerships and strategic alliances. Setikas
will be based in CLSA’s South San Francisco office, with frequent travel
between CLSA’s offices in San Diego, Sacramento, Washington, DC and Los
Angeles, in order to drive the association’s growth and provide value to
members.

Setikas joins CLSA from Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in
serving science, where he most recently served as Senior Director of
Business Development, leading a group of corporate directors and teams
focused on executive relationships, total company sales and
collaborations with strategic academic, biotechnology and government
accounts. Prior to his 12 years at Thermo Fisher, Setikas held numerous
positions of increasing responsibility in the life sciences, including
business development roles at Roquette Frères, Adhesives Research Inc,
and FMC Corporation. Setikas holds a Masters of Business Administration
in Management from the University of San Francisco, and Bachelor degrees
in Chemistry and Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University.
