BioUtah Announces Headline Speakers for the 2020 Virtual Utah Life Sciences Summit

Dr. Jeffrey Shuren, MD, JD, director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDHR) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Dr. Peter Marks, MD, PhD, director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) at the FDA, will address attendees on the agency’s response to COVID-19, vaccines, and beyond.

SALT LAKE CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–BioUtah, Utah’s only trade association dedicated solely to the life sciences, announced today that Dr. Jeffrey Shuren, director of FDA’s CDHR, and Dr. Peter Marks, director of CBER, will take center stage on November 9 at this year’s virtual Utah Life Sciences Summit (ULSS). Dr. Shuren plays a key role in facilitating and advancing the development of safe and effective medical devices – a role that has become all the more visible and critical amid the COVID-19 global pandemic. Dr. Marks is responsible for assuring the safety and effectiveness of biological products, including the review of coronavirus vaccines.
