Novartis increses net sales. Net income $2B

Novartis has ended third quarter 2019 with reported net income of $2.0 billion, which as an 8% increase, driven by higher operating income and higher income from associated companies, saying in the press release Tuesday that its EPS was USD 0.90 (+11%, +14% cc), growing faster than net income driven by lower weighted average number of shares outstanding.

Abbvie buys Allergan for $63B

Allergan’s shareholders have voted to approve to be bought by AbbVie Inc for approximately $63 billion, as more than 99 percent of the votes cast were in favor of the transaction, representing about 69% of the shares outstanding and eligible to be voted at each of the Allergan shareholder meetings held on October 14, 2019 in Dublin, Ireland.
