ATCC Expands Leadership Team to Provide Vision and Growth Strategy

Promotes Rebecca Bradford to Vice President, Government Programs and Linda Johnson to Vice President of Licensing and Intellectual Property

MANASSAS, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ATCC, the world’s premier biological materials management and standards organization, today announced the promotion of Rebecca Bradford to the position of Vice President, Government Programs in the ATCC Federal Solutions (AFS) business unit, and Linda Johnson to Vice President, Licensing and Intellectual Property Management. Both positions will continue to bring leadership and vision to ATCC’s growth strategy.

Since joining the company in 2004, Bradford has been essential to the expansion of AFS’s client base and strengthened its infrastructure to support its growth strategy. Bradford and her team played a critical role in accelerating the development of countermeasures during multiple global public health emergencies, including the 2009 H1N1 Influenza pandemic, 2015-16 Zika epidemic, and Covid-19 pandemic.

Bradford holds multiple degrees from Johns Hopkins University, including a Master of Business Administration from Carey Business School, a Master of Science in Bioinformatics, and a Master of Science in Biotechnology. Bradford serves as president of the Board of Directors for A Way Forward, a nonprofit organization in Fairfax, Virginia, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Alexandria Mental Health Center.

Johnson brings to ATCC more than 25 years of corporate development experience in the life science industry, identifying, negotiating, and managing complex strategic partnerships. Johnson’s leadership has resulted in the expansion of several key initiatives, including licensing, inventions and intellectual property, patent deposits, and commercial contracts.

Before joining ATCC in 2016, Johnson held business and strategic partnership roles at PATH, Senseonics, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals, Redpoint Bio, The Mattson Jack Group, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry and a Master of Public Administration. She is also a Registered Patent Agent licensed to practice with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
