Alvotech has named Tanya Zharov as deputy chief executive officer in Iceland to oversee Icelandic operations and administration, including the Reykjavik site leadership team, human resources, business operations, shared services and facilities.
Alvotech said that Tanya will also assist in the preparation of Alvotech for public listing, in partnership with the CEO and members of the corporate leadership team.

Alvotech said in the press release that Tanya brings a wealth of experience to her new post, with a strong track record in innovation-driven global life sciences, business and finance. Prior to joining Alvotech, she was the deputy CEO and compliance officer at deCODE genetics, where she led the administrative team and assisted the CEO with many aspects of company operations, overseeing human resources and serving as compliance officer.
Mark Levick, Alvotech‘s CEO, said: “We’re excited to have Tanya on board with us. Coming straight from the deputy CEO position at deCODE, a renowned world leader in human genetics, Tanya possesses all the attributes that make her an ideal addition to our team, and an invaluable asset as we continue to secure our position as a global leader in the biosimilars market.”

“I am very excited to be joining Alvotech at this important point in the company’s growth and evolution,” said Zharov. “Much of my career has been focused on enabling innovation in life sciences and in other early stage companies. I look forward to starting a new chapter and joining the great team at Alvotech, and to participate in strengthening the company’s position as an emerging global leader in biosimilars.”
