WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Beginning today, the 2022 Milken Institute Future of Health Summit will convene in-person for the first time since 2019. The summit, which runs December 6-8 at the Salamander in Washington, DC, will gather hundreds of attendees, including global community leaders, government officials, and researchers to turn the lessons learned over the past few years into a healthier, more equitable, and sustainable future for us all.

This year’s three-day Future of Health Summit will kick off with our Partnering for Patients Forum, shining a light on the latest biomedical innovation advances, needs, and ideas generated by and for the patient community. Attendees will collaborate and connect during sessions that address a variety of health topics, including biomedical research, patient engagement, diversity and equity in clinical trials, managing chronic disease, health policy, preventing the next pandemic, and more.

“As the last few years have proven, engaging with our community to collectively imagine a better future for all people is more important than ever, and now, the public is acutely attuned to how the health system works, the impact of health policy, and the importance of scientific discovery,” said Michael Klowden, CEO of the Milken Institute. “The diverse group of attendees joining us truly has the ability to confront and affect the most significant health challenges before us.”

In addition to discussing the state of health over the last few years, summit panels will look at current and future trends in disease diagnosis, public health, food access and sustainability, mental health, aging and longevity, innovation across the health sector, and more.
