Rpharmy Hires Tenured Clinical, Pharmacy Information Systems Tech to Lead Customer Experience Team

Sherlene Christen Brings More Than 30 Years Experience to Leading Formulary Management, HazDrugs Safety Information SaaS Provider

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Rpharmy, a leading provider of medical formulary management and hazardous drug safety information software solutions, today announced that Sherlene Christen will lead Rpharmy’s Customer Experience team working with healthcare providers and hospital systems around the world to bring formulary and hazardous drug information to the point of care.

“As one of our most loyal FormWeb customers during her more than 30 years at the esteemed Duke Raleigh Hospital, Sherlene truly puts herself into the customer’s shoes providing the highest standard of technical and practical customer support,” said Laura Paxton, Rpharmy CEO and Co-Founder. “Sherlene really is a gem. She not only has clinical pharmacy experience but adds on top of that her technical expertise so she is capable of handling support questions about USP <800> and other regulations as well as questions about Rpharmy products. We are very lucky to have her on the team!”

During her 30 years at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Sherlene assisted in building and implementing the pharmacy module of the Meditech system, supervised pharmacy inventory control, and lead the conversion project from Pyxis to Omnicell automated dispensing system. She then managed the Omnicell system consisting of automated medication cabinets, anesthesia workstations, controlled substance management, workflowRx, and Pandora analytics reporting. The CareFusion Alaris Guardrails database and the pharmacy formulary and policy website, Rpharmy’s FormWeb, were under Sherlene’s responsibility as well. During her tenure she also wrote multiple NPR, and Foxfire reports to more easily manage drug diversion, and medication safety.

“After spending the last nearly 15 years as a Rpharmy customer, it is wonderful to work with other customers to improve patient and healthcare worker safety while making some of the most tedious but important tasks much simpler,” Sherlene said. “The Rpharmy team is uniquely skilled at condensing vast amounts of complicated information into bite-sized pieces and then delivering it where it’s needed most – at the point of care.”

Sherlene joins Rpharmy during the company’s expansion starting more than a year ago with the appointment of Patrick Turner as Chief Technology Officer. The Rpharmy team is composed of experienced healthcare, pharmaceutical, and technology professionals who share the same mission: Improving the health and safety of patients and healthcare workers.
