An IT provider for healthcare market Instem, has appointed MaryBeth Thompson as Chief Operating Officer of the Group. Thompson has not been appointed to the company’s main Board, and she will report to Phil Reason, CEO.
Thompson has more than 18 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with a primary focus in Regulatory Affairs and Operations with a demonstrable track record as a leader and builder of outsourcing services businesses.
Instem has commented on her success with the companies she had worked before, pointing out success with PAREXEL, LIQUENT and CDC Solutions. Among her achievements, Instem points out that she established and expanded the regulatory outsourcing services practice from a $1 million revenue business with 30 employees to an international organisation across the US, Europe and India with more than $30 million of revenues and 300 employees.
Prior to PAREXEL, Thompson worked for AstraZeneca and Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in pharmaceutical product development, where she held a range of senior regulatory positions.
