Enable Injections presents syringe transfer system in a conference

Enable Injections

Enable Injections, Inc. the developer of advanced large volume wearable injectors (LVWI) for subcutaneous delivery of biologics and high volume drugs, on Monday announced a new single, partial or multi-vial/syringe transfer system for filling its LVWIs.

According to Enable, the system provides maximum flexibility by allowing the use of single or multiple vials and single or multiple syringes. It can also be used for variable dosing dependent on a patient’s weight.  The new biologics delivery tool has attracted additional development and commercial projects from Enable Injections’ pharmaceutical partners.

The new system is being presented at the BIO International Convention  meeting in San Diego, June 19-22, 2017.

The small hand held Enable multi-vial transfer system can accommodate any pharmaceutical primary container closure. When multiple vials/syringes–or portions of a vial/syringe–are required to administer the prescribed dose, each vial/syringe is easily attached to the Enable Injector with its own screw-on adapter to reduce any chance of contamination.

A second transfer system for mixing and transferring lyophilized formulations or for mixing two liquid formulations is also available, with both vials attached to quickly, simultaneously fill the Enable Injector.

Enable Injections President and CEO Michael D. Hooven, said: “We are grateful for the close collaboration with our forward-thinking pharmaceutical partners. Advances in drug-device combination products such as this new, small multi-vial system come about as a result of a joint commitment to significantly improving the patient experience. We have responded to our pharma partners and to patients by developing a system that provides maximum flexibility and ease of use with a minimum of waste.”
