DANVERS, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Abiomed (NASDAQ:ABMD) will highlight the benefits of complete revascularization with Protected PCI and the value of Impella protocol-based treatment for survival and native heart recovery in cardiogenic shock patients at the 31st Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) conference in San Francisco from September 25-29. During the conference, Abiomed will also offer hands-on training to help physicians improve access and closure skills and patient management expertise to achieve improved outcomes.

Impella CP with SmartAssist is the latest technological development for the Impella platform and is designed to improve patient outcomes with advanced algorithms and simplified patient management. SmartAssist has been commercially available in the U.S. since May, and launched in Europe in August.
