Essilor, a medical supplies company, has decided to realign its organization to meet the growing operational needs as the company has expanded its activities in Latin America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
The board has promoted Laurent Vacherot as President and Chief Operating Officer, from the position of Co-Chief Operating Officer, which he has been occupying since 2010.
In his new role, Vacherot will take direct responsibility for Essilor`s operations with all operational executives reporting directly to him. The Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Mission, Communications and Strategy will report to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Laurent Vacherot was also proposed to be named as director, but her appointment will be wait the approval of shareholders at Essilor`s next Shareholders` Meeting to be held on May 11, 2017.
